    Barcelo International Company

    Barceló International was founded in 1930 in San Domingo in the Dominican Republic by two brothers Juan and Andres Barceló.

    In the same year, Santo Domingo was destroyed by the strongest hurricane and one of the brothers - Andreas - decided to try his luck on the island of Puerto Rico and left the company, leaving it to the management of his brother. Juan Barcelona decided to stay in Santo Domingo and, while traveling the country, advertise and sell his rum with an original and at the same time simple label, using the slogan "The rum I drink" in his advertising campaign.
     
    Through decades of painstaking daily work, Juan Barcelona has been able to achieve significant commercial success both in the local and international markets for this magical and incomparable drink: so in 1999-2000. The Beverage Institute of Chicago recognized his Ron Barceló Imperial rum as the best in its class of drinks, giving it the highest score - 97 out of 100.
     
    In 1974, Juan Barceló died and his business was continued by Miguel Barceló Pascual, who ran the company until 1992. The third generation of the owners of the company made a radical modernization of the enterprise, equipped it with the most modern equipment that allows you to control all production processes, bringing the production capacity to 50,000 liters of products per day.
     
    Today the company produces rums made in full accordance with local traditions and technologies, in keeping with the spirit and taste of the inhabitants of the Caribbean.
