Wine "Tignanello" is produced only in the best years, mature grapes from excellent quality vines are used for its production. These vines are grown exclusively on one site in the heart of the Chianti Classico between the valleys of the Pesa and Greve rivers, occupying 47 hectares of southwestern exposure at an altitude of 350 to 400 meters above sea level. The soils of the vineyard are composed of limestone and tuff. The berries are carefully selected during the 2014 harvest, which took place from the end of September in 2014, from Cabernet Franc and Sangiovese to Cabernet Sauvignon. Fermentation takes place at a temperature of 27 ° C in order to preserve the most typical fruit aromas. During fermentation, delestage and pumping of the wort are used. After alcoholic fermentation, the wine is transferred to oak barrels, where malolactic fermentation takes place in January.
