Many grape varieties can be grown throughout Ukraine. However, the most favorable conditions for its growth are observed in those regions where mild winters and long hot summers (the largest number of the country's vineyards is in the Odessa region, in particular, in the south of the region - in Ukrainian Bessarabia, in second place was (until 2014) - Crimea, the rest about 17% of the plantings - in the Nikolaev, Kherson and Transcarpathian regions.
