Tennessee whiskey is a non-standard whiskey that differs from its counterparts primarily by filtration, the peculiarity of which is that the finished whiskey is passed through a three-meter layer of pressed charcoal sugar maple, thereby ultimately bringing the drink its unique softness, velvet and taste.
