Ardbeg Uigeadail - single malt whiskey from the island of Islay. It was created in 2003 and named after Lake Wigidale, from which water is taken to make whiskey, because it is water that is the key to the success of Ardbeg whiskey. This island molt is aged in oak barrels that were previously filled with bourbon and sherry. Thanks to this exposure, Uigeadail combines sweet tones with a smoky finish. Ardbeg is considered one of the smokiest and peaty types of whiskey due to the fact that the content of phenolic compounds in the drink reaches a maximum of 50 mg (with standard 20-35 mg in other island whiskeys). Wigidale has a unique aroma of the sea due to the proximity of the plant to the coast, because during the aging of whiskey it absorbs the aroma of algae, iodine and salt. Ardbeg does not use cold filtration to preserve the aromas of peat and sea. The drink is produced in limited editions. Ardbeg Uigeadail was named in 2009 "Whiskey of the Year" by Jim Murray - the creator of the "Whiskey Bible". Curiously, Ardbeg Wiggale pressed his fellow Ardbeg Ten, who was named the best in 2008.
