Ardbeg An Oa malt Scotch whiskey has become a new addition to the line of one of the smokiest and peat whiskeys in the world, whose name has long been a symbol of bright unforgettable spirits from the legendary island of Islay. Created in 2017, this design is more delicate and sophisticated "islander" than its counterparts.

The prominent expert in the whiskey industry, Jim Murray, once called Ardbeg the best distillery on Earth. This recognition was preceded by years of work, then “hibernation”, then again work, and again “hibernation”. Founded in the distant 1794, this legendary production creates its modern releases under the auspices of the company Glenmorangie, which restored its activity in the late 1990s. The hallmark of this "Ayla" distillery is a high degree of fumigation of malt, which exceeds 50 ppm, giving the future drink an intense smoky-peat flavor.

The name An Oa in Gaelic means Cape Oa, one of the most unexplored parts of the island of Islay, on which the Ardbeg distillery is located. This whiskey, bottled at 46.6% alcohol, undergoes combined aging in bourbon barrels, Pedro Ximenez sweet sherry and new, previously unused barrels. This combination allowed the creators of this release to enrich their drink with an amazing mix of fruit and herbal notes in its aroma and taste.
