Vodka Stolichnaya, produced in Latvia at the famous distillery Latvijas Balzams and which at one time became the personification of the USSR vodka industry, has retained on its now historic label the look of the famous and now defunct Moscow Hotel. This is a certain symbolism of the Stolichnaya brand, created at that time as the best vodka of the Soviet Union for export abroad, and the Moscow Hotel was built as the best metropolitan hotel for foreign guests.
Vodka Stolichnaya, affectionately called “Stoli” in the countries of America and Europe, today is one of the few drinks in this category, whose production is fully controlled at all its stages, from growing winter wheat and rye to production and marketing.
Winter wheat and rye used to make Stolichnaya vodka are grown in Russia on the territory of an agricultural holding with an area of 4,500 hectares. Alpha premium alcohol is obtained by triple distillation and fourfold filtration in Tambov in a modern factory owned by S.P.I. Group Next, the finished alcohol goes to the historical factory Latvijas Balzams, built in 1901, where after reduction with water, marrying and final filtration, the finished vodka is bottled.
Without exaggeration, Stolichnaya vodka can be considered one of the best and recognizable in the world. Over its 80-year history, this drink has repeatedly won numerous awards at international competitions and is now used in many bars as the basis for various cocktails.
