Premium, surprisingly smooth, flavored tequila Don Julio Reposado from one of the most respected producers in Mexico, made from 100% natural blue agave, twice distilled and aged in charred American bourbon casks. Tequila Don Julio Reposado is handcrafted in limited editions and is a kind of "gold standard", a sample of the perfect tequila aged in barrels. It exudes the highest quality from the first breath to the last sip, is a complex and well-structured combination of spices (especially cinnamon), citrus and agave sweetness. 

The main raw material for the production of Don Julio tequila, blue agave, is grown in the highland region of Jalisco, ideal for the full maturation of this crop due to the prevailing special microclimate of the region in combination with mineral-rich clay soil. It takes about 7-10 years for each plant to reach full maturity, but it is this long maturation that results in the soft, well-developed agave aroma for which Don Julio tequila is so famous. Agave is harvested exclusively by hand; roots and leaves are cut right on the field. The resulting kernels, called piña, are transported to the Don Julio factory, where they are cut into equal sized pieces, loaded into brick ovens and slowly baked over several days. Then they are crushed and poured with water, receiving a sweet agave syrup, which is fermented with yeast. After the fermentation process is complete, a sweet, low-alcohol agave beer is obtained, which is then placed in stills for distillation. Don Julio Reposado tequila matures in American white oak barrels for 8 months.
