Manufacturer Teliani Valley (Georgia)

Georgia is rightfully considered the birthplace of winemaking. It is here that the oldest Georgian wine cellar, Teliani Valley, is located. For more than a century, the company has been producing the best wines with a controlled place of origin, adhering to the ancient traditions of Georgian viticulture. Winery "Teliani Veli" owns vineyards, which are located in all major wine-growing regions of Georgia, and occupy a territory with a total area of 120 hectares. Particular attention is paid to the quality and grape varieties. The first winemaker of the company, the Frenchman Antoine Mossano, originated in Georgia a European way of making wine using local grape varieties. Also on his initiative in Georgia began to grow French grape varieties. Today, the company produces wines in two ways, both European and Kakheti. After harvesting, the grapes are immediately delivered to a modern plant, where they are carefully selected in accordance with its variety and quality.

The grape acceptance area is equipped with a powerful pneumatic press for more delicate pressing and separation of grape seed. Fermentation is carried out in stainless tanks with thermoregulation, after the completion of fermentation, the young wine is aged in steel tanks or French oak barrels. Fermentation, stabilization, filtration and bottling takes place on modern high-tech equipment, and the plant also has its own laboratory, which carefully monitors the process of making wine at all its stages. An important role in the production is played by an automated filling line equipped with Italian equipment from GAI, the principle of which is the method of cold sterilization using PALL membrane filters.

An important place in the production of Teliani Veli wines is the finished product warehouse, which is equipped with a special conditioning system that helps maintain a stable temperature, which, in turn, has a positive effect on the aging of bottles in wine. Today, Teliani Valley is a large holding company engaged in diverse activities, including winemaking, the production of brandy and cognac, the production of oak barrels, as well as its own distribution. Having opened a sommelier school in 2005, the company has an active policy of familiarizing consumers with Georgian wines and introducing a culture of wine consumption.
