Monin liqueur and syrup production was founded by George Monin in 1912 in the historic city of Bourges in France. The location for the production was not chosen by chance. The city of Bourges is close to traditional agricultural areas where wonderful fruits are grown. From the very beginning, Monin products have been of the highest quality, so George's slogan - "La Passion de la Qualite" (Passion for quality) - became the motto of the company. In 1930, the company began to expand the boundaries, liqueurs and syrups began to be produced on the basis of tropical fruits from Morocco, Tunisia, the Caribbean, West Africa. This is how Monin becomes the world leader in the production and sale of premium syrups, liqueurs, aperitifs and non-alcoholic cocktails. In 1993 Monin became a member of the prestigious International Bartenders Association "IBA", in 1994 it won the "European Excellence" Grand Prix for excellence in production. In 1996 the company confirmed its high reputation by winning three Gold medals at the International Cocktail Competition in Tokyo. The company's products have been used in the recipes for three of the top award-winning official IBA cocktails. Today Monin is the world's largest and most famous manufacturer of premium syrups and liqueurs. The company's products are sold in 85 countries around the world, and the assortment includes about 75 flavors both in alcoholic beverages (liqueurs) and non-alcoholic (syrups).
