Captain Morgan Dark (0.5 L) is a strong alcoholic drink that is a blend of the best varieties of Caribbean rum, aged for at least 3 years in charred American white oak barrels.

The basis of his drink is sugarcane, from which sweet juices are squeezed, and a product called molasses is obtained. The addition of water and carefully selected yeast species causes alcoholic fermentation, followed by distillation, a skillful combination of science and art. During the distillation process, the fermented liquid is heated in the recovery columns to obtain the highest quality alcohol. Then, the resulting liquid is aged in charred white oak barrels to give rum color, aroma and concentrated taste. A further blend of the best Caribbean rums creates the smooth taste of the recognizable Captain Morgan rum.
