Since September 9, 2017, alcoholic beverages will rise in price in stores
The government once again decided to increase the minimum wholesale and retail prices for alcoholic beverages from September 9, 2017.
According to this document, the minimum wholesale and retail prices for vodka and alcoholic beverages increased by 14–19.41%, for whiskey, rum, gin - by 6.5–6.6 percent, cognac (brandy) - by 12.3-29.1 percent, wine - by 7.1-13.3 percent.
As for only the minimum retail prices, they are increased for vodka by 14 percent, or by 9.77 hryvnias. Thus, a half-liter bottle of vodka will cost at least 79 hryvnias 55 kopecks. To date, its price so far is 69 hryvnia 78 kopecks.
The minimum retail prices for the "three-star" brandy will be 119 hryvnia 46 kopecks per half-liter bottle. A “four-star” cognac will cost 129 hryvnias 3 kopecks, and a “five-star” cognac will cost 138 hryvnias 50 kopecks for the same capacity.
Prices for grape wines rose from 33 to 37 hryvnias, for strong wines and vermouth - from 42 to 45 hryvnias, and for sparkling wines - from 69 hryvnias 90 kopecks to 79 hryvnias 19 kopecks.
Also, cider, peri (without adding alcohol), drinks obtained as a result of the natural fermentation of fruit and berry juices with an alcohol content of not more than 8.5 percent will rise in price. Their price will increase to 28 hryvnias 47 kopecks per liter.
