Martell
Cognac House Martell, France
Cognac house Martell was created by a young merchant Jean Martel in 1715 in the legendary city of Cognac. Having organized a small production, Jean could not even imagine that his brainchild would turn into the largest and most prestigious cognac house. But the sudden death of Jean became the reason for the transfer of the management of the plant into the hands of his widow - Rachel, who did not understand anything in the production of cognac. But the woman quickly managed to learn all the tricks and intricacies of the case, and soon things went uphill, which allowed her to acquire an incredibly beautiful estate, which included wonderful vineyards and beautiful cellars. But the real success of Martell was brought by the sons of Rachel and Jean - Frederick-Gabriel and Jean, who sent the first batch of cognac to America, where Martel met with overwhelming success. Following America, the drink made a splash in France when Martell was appointed official royal supplier by Napoleon Bonaparte. After such a "royal" recognition, all the nobility and the aristocracy preferred only this brand. Soon, the king of England George IV was able to appreciate the brandy, who was hit by a drink, and after half a century Martel conquered the Japanese and Chinese public. Soon, no social events took place without Martell, winning the hearts of more and more famous fans, which, in fact, continues to this day. Politicians, actors, top officials of the states paid tribute to this amazing brandy.
