Ijevan winery and cognac factory is one of the first wineries in Armenia, which was founded during the Soviet era in 1951 with the goal of supplying Ararat Trust and the Yerevan Champagne Plant with cognac and champagne wine materials. 2005 was a turning point for the plant, it was acquired by businessman Emin Lavrentievich Yeghiazaryan. The enterprise underwent crucial changes: large-scale implementations were made in expanding production, repairing a winery, acquiring modern equipment, using the latest technologies, and replenishing personnel with a scientific degree and diplomas from the best winemaking universities in Europe were carried out. Such changes enabled the plant to keep pace with the times and science. Today Ijevan Wine and Cognac Factory produces high-quality cognacs, grape and fruit wines, fruit vodka, a wide range of canned products and dried fruits.
